Happy Birthday Adam!

Adam turned 26 yesterday!  He was spoiled and had the day off from work.  His sister's took him to lunch and then we spent the rest of the day with Baby Houston at the hospital.  We did have a little party for him at my Mom's house on Sunday though.  Here's a few pics!

We have Almond Joys!!!

We had a very fun day yesterday learning the gender of our little bundle of joy! Its a boy!!!  He wasn't shy that's for sure!  :)  He was however quite a bit bashful about showing us his cute face.  We are going back in a month for another ultrasound so we can try to see his face and his heart better.  The little stinker was turned really funny in there and wouldn't roll around for us.  But he was very wiggly!!  What a fun day we had going around telling all our families!  We visited my mom at work, delivered blue balloons to my sisters, and went to lunch with Adam's family.  It was such a great day!  We are so excited!  Although we would have been excited either way.  I thought for sure we were having a girl.  I dreamed about it all night long.  And I couldn't get pink balloons out of my head.  What a shock it was for us.  Having a boy was a bit against the odds.  Adam comes from a family with all girls and so do I!  He was so excited to learn that the Holdaway name lives on!  We couldn't be more thrilled!!!

   

Our Story

Long story short... We grew up together.  Funny enough Adam is even in our home videos from when we were kids!  But he is three years older than me so we really weren't that close growing up.  We were eventually reacquainted through the good ol' singles branch through our stake.  Adam had invited a bunch of people over for a game night and I went (cause the boy I had a crush on was going to be there :) ha ha).  We ended up really hitting it off and started dating shortly after.  After about 5 months I finally talked him into marrying me!

And another 5 months after that we were married in the Timp Temple!  It was a perfect day!

So there you have it!  Our story.  We are really loving life and trying to enjoy the little things.  And the big!  So as I'm sure you've all heard the saying...

First comes love...

Then comes marriage...

And you guessed it...Then comes the baby in the baby carriage!!!

I'm Grateful For...

1.  My wonderful husband.  He is so good to me and so patient.

2.  My Savior.  There are no words that can really express my feelings about my Savior.  Where would I be without him?

3.  My family.  They are so supportive.

4.  Our house.  We are very lucky to have somewhere to call home that is our's.

5.  My nieces and nephews.  They know how to make me laugh when I need to the most.  I am grateful for the reminder to be more childlike.

6.  Our jobs.  We are lucky enough to have a steady income that we can depend on.

7.  Life's little surprises. :)

8.  My Best friend.

9.  Sisters.  They all are such good examples to me.  I am very grateful for them.

10.  Christmas Time.  I love the spirit of Christmas and this time of year to reflect and remember our Savior.

We're still here...

Don't worry we are still around.  Life has handed us a little surprise and we are just getting back on track.  Adam is busy busy working.  He has been working lots of overtime lately.  As for me I'm just still working at the bank.  Its getting closer to Christmas time.  I'm pretty excited.  I'm mostly excited to meet my newest nephew!  He'll hopefully wait a few more weeks but it'll be fun that he's gonna make it here for Christmas!  Well hopefully we'll get back on track with the blogging thing.  See ya soon!
