The End

I've been thinking a lot about my blog lately.  Everyday worrying that I need to take more pictures of my sweet boys and update my blog.  Blogging as really been a journal for me about my boys.  Things I want to always remember about them.  How great I think they are and the funny things they do.  Until it hit me the other day that I'm really the only one who thinks the silly things are so cute.  You know like when you tell someone a story about your son who steals your nose and eats it and the person hearing the story pauses and says, "oh, that's cute".  They don't really care.  But it is still so fun to tell those stories.
To come right down to it, blogging is a time consumer.  I only get so much time a week with my sweet boys that isn't being consumed by meal time, bath time, nap time, or driving in the car.  There is so little playtime in this world.  I want to use every moment I possibly can being with my kids.  So instead of worrying about updating the blog I'm gonna update an actual journal.  And take lots of pictures just because.  Not because I need them for a blog but because I want to.  And besides, who needs a blog when we have Facebook?! :-)

One last update:  Jaxon turned 2 on June 8th.  I can't believe my sweet baby boy isn't a baby anymore.  He is so big and so stinking smart!  He has started forming sentences lately and I love his babbles when you know he's trying to tell you something but you can't quite understand.  And he knows his alphabet which I think is so awesome since he is only 2!  He is silly!  He is a teaser!  I love it when he jumps up on my bed and lays on my pillow and says, "No! My spot!" and lets out a big laugh!  Or when I get him ready to get in the tub and he takes off streaking down the hall!  Oh I love him!!!  He is a mama's boy through and through.  He is, for the most part, a happy boy.  And he is a good boy.  He is also a very passionate boy.  Which makes for some very good tantrums.  Jaxon still loves to watch his shows.  He has taken a recent liking to Barney.  I love snuggling in bed at night after baths and watching a movie.  I am going to miss this time in mine and Jaxon's lives so much.  He is my best friend most days.  Always there to help me clean the house or take care of baby.  Jaxon also gives the BEST hugs!  He hugs on one side, then a binki kiss (a kiss with his binki in his mouth.  Which my Dad really likes cause you don't get germs :) ) Then a hug on the other side.  So awesome!  He is a sweetheart to the core!  I could go on and on about the funny things he does everyday.

Camren is 10 months.  Holy cow the time has gone by way to fast.  I can't believe he is almost 1.  He has grown up too fast.  Cam is such a smiley chunk.  He is a big baby.  He has already grown out of clothes that Jaxon wore on his first birthday.  But I'm sure he will slim down once he starts moving around.  He doesn't crawl yet but I'm sure he will soon.  He likes to turn in circles on his bum and rolls like crazy.  For a fat little baby you would think he's an eater but he has just barely in the last month decided to like food.  So he is finally eating better during the day and finally sleeping better at night.  And he takes some great naps in the afternoons!  I love getting him out of bed in the morning or after a nap.  He gets so excited when he hears the door open and just laughs and wiggles around.  Then if I'm really lucky he will give me a hug.  But in truth this kid is a daddy's boy.  He loves his daddy and gets far to excited when daddy comes home from work.  I might be a bit jealous.  He is my sweet little baby boy and I can't get enough of him.  He like his brother likes to tease.  Only he teases Jaxon and tries to still his binki.  Sometimes this is a fun game but other times Jax gets really annoyed.  It is fun to watch them interact and makes me excited for when Camren can play more with his brother.

All in all our life is great!  We are blessed to have great jobs to support our family with companies who work with our schedules so that we can both take care of our sweet boys with the help of family.  We are blessed to live close to family that are willing to help us watch the boys and we are so grateful to them.  We are loving life.  Enjoy!!!

The Boys

This kid is a nut!  I am baffled everyday by his silliness!  He is always finding new things to get into and finding new games to play.  He is a naughty little boy sometimes and very mischevious.  But I can't get enough of him!  Jaxon had a hard month of December.  It started out with the flu, then a cold, then another cold, then an ear infection which he is still trying to get over.  He is also cutting at least 3 teeth.  Poor kid.  But he was a trooper for Christmas and I'm excited for warmer weather and for him to get feeling better.  Jaxon is a mama's boy just like always.  He is also a bit addicted to watching his shows.  He loves Mickey Mouse, Tangled, all three Toy Story's, and I'm trying to get him into Rio cause we need something new to watch.  He is a very smart boy.  He loves playing with my kindle or daddy's ipod.  He has recently gotten better at playing with his toys.  He had been on strike from that :)  And he is the best at saying prayers!  He even bows his head and sits so still!  He still loves his babas and binkis and cowie.  And he refuses to go to bed at night.  Something that I am trying to change.  I love this kid!!!  He makes my days brighter!

Honestly the best 18 months of my life!!!!

Camren is growing growing growing!  My chunky 3 month old is already wearing 9 months clothes (he still fits in 6 months too, don't worry :))  He is a sweetheart and gives the best smiles.  And he is a little chatter box!  He doesn't like to be swaddled.  Mostly because he loves to suck on his hands.  He is a fenicky baby.  He has to be held just right to eat his bottles.  He likes to sit up and watch tv while enjoying his meal :)  And he fights sleep worse than Jaxon.  He gives a good fit when he gets tired and usually just has to cry till he is good and ready to give in.  He is stubborn just like his mama.  Both my boys are :)  And still refuses to sleep through the night.  I think Camren is going to be the patient one in the family like his daddy.

Love this sweet little boy!  He has made our little family much more complete!

Another Lately Post...

This little guy got a much needed hair cut at only 6 weeks old!!!

The after shot.  Much better!  What a handsome fellow!

And this kid got the flu for the very first time.  It was a long 2 weeks but we survived and are happy that we got it over with before Christmas.  He got lots of snuggle time in the chair with mommy and daddy.

Last weekend we visited Santa.  As you can see we didn't like him.  Hopefully he still knows what to bring him for Christmas ;)

Time is going by way to fast... I already feel like I'm missing out on my baby cause of how fast he is growing.  And Jaxon is proving to be such a great big brother.  We are having fun and are excited for Christmas!

Thanksgiving

As I sit here this Thanksgiving morning thinking about all I am thankful for I feel so overwhelmed by all the blessings in my life.  Most of which I take for granted on a daily basis.  I'm reminded that I need to be more grateful.
I love my family.  Especially my boys.  Jaxon is my best buddy.  He is such a sweetheart and such a smartie.  He is also very sensitive and a mama's boy.  Which I love.  He brings a smile to my face everyday.  He loves hot dogs and being outside.  He loves his Grandma Sue Sue and constantly asks to go to her house.  He loves to eat everything with a fork.  His favorite toy is mommy's kindle.  All I have to do is turn it on and he takes care of the rest :)  He keeps me going when the days are hard.  I love him so much.
I am grateful for my sweet baby Camren.  Although it has been harder than I thought it would be having them so close in age I wouldn't change it.  He is my cuddler.  He loves to be held and rocked.  Camren is very much like his mama, very sensitive.  He doesn't like a lot of commotion or noise.  He cries when I sneeze too loud :)  He loves his binki and only likes the car if he is asleep.  He keeps me grounded.  Keeps me sane on cold days when we can't go outside and we get to snuggle all day on the couch.  He is my bed buddy at night when Jaxon is asleep and Daddy is still at work.  He keeps me company and makes me so happy.
I am grateful for my loving husband.  Adam is the most patient and kind person I know.  He has blessed my life in more ways than I can count.  He works hard for his family and is the best daddy.  Jaxon loves waiting up for Daddy to get home from work.  He gets so excited and runs to the door to greet him.  And Camren gives Daddy the best smiles.
My other family.  I love my Mom, Dad, and sisters so much.  I am lucky to have a good relationship with my parents.  Especially my mom.  She knows all my deepest secrets and loves me anyways :)  She is always willing to help her girls in anyway that she can without a complaint.  She is my example.  My Dad has always shown me how to be a hard worker.  He is so generous and loves and spoils all of us.  He is understanding and strong.  I am grateful that I was raised my goodly parents and born into the covenant.
My sisters.  Sometimes there are no words to express just how much I love them.  We have our differences and lets be honest most of the time we all just complain about each other but what 5 sisters wouldn't :)  I love how close we all are and how we can lean on each other in times of need.  When someone is sick or kids are causing trouble or we just need a night out.  There is always a sister to lean on.  I love my sisters.
The gospel and my Savior Jesus Christ.  I wouldn't be where I am today without my Savior and the atonement.  I am especially grateful for the knowledge of the gospel and for knowing that families are forever.  That I will be with my family for eternity is such a blessing.
And I am grateful for so many other blessings that I could obviously ramble on about.  I am so blessed.
Happy Thanksgiving!

This year for Halloween Julie threw us another one of her fun party's!!!  It was a blast!  Jaxon had fun playing with all the cousins and Camren enjoyed his day by snuggling with Grandma.  It was fun to spend time with the whole family!

Our Little Monkey.  Even though he hates bananas he truly is a monkey.  Jaxon loves to climb on things lately.  We have had to put all of our kitchen chairs in the closet because he gets up on the kitchen table and dances.  Cute but rather annoying cause one day he's gonna fall.  He also likes to climb in the toy buckets and onto the piano.  Silly boy!

This little guy sure is giving us a run for our money.  He is up all night and sleeps during the day.  But he is such a cuddly baby and already loves his mama :)
So funny that Grandma and Grandpa were skeletons too!
 All the Grandkids
Our cute boys!!!

Our 1st family photo (yes it has seriously took us a month to take our picture all together)

Happy Halloween!  Love the Holdaway's

Camren 1 Week Old

I can't believe he is already a week old.  I just had him yesterday....  So far Cam as been such a good baby.  He sleeps pretty good at night and really good during the day.  He loves his binki and I think he is already a mama's boy :)  And we've learned he DOES NOT like to be naked.  He didn't cooperate the best but Julie still got some great pictures!  Enjoy!
